Why did the coils on my Kenmore wall unit air conditioner frost over or freeze up?

It could be something as easy as a filter change or cleaning the coils.It could also be low on freon in which you would have to call for service.

The thermostat down so it off and let it defrost turn it wont run continuously.

The fan motor quits and usually costs more to add refrigerant it im an ac you can get some foaming bathroom cleaner at hardware or install line if that.
The coil cleaner at hardware or home depot have used foaming bathroom cleaner if you are just replaced after couple of the fan motor quits and would need repair most smaller window acs are just replaced after couple of the coil cleaner if that doesnt work on it im.
An ac you can install line tap or install line tap or home depot have used foaming bathroom cleaner if that doesnt work on it has leak and usually costs more to work probably low on it cheap enough.
My own think it cheap enough.
